2nd “Nihao! China” Travel Fair to Kick Off in Kuala Lumpur on June 13!

The 2nd “Nihao! China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) will be held from June 13 to 15 at the Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. A press conference announcing the event took place at the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur, attended by representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia, Liaoning Province (via cloud), UnionPay International, and the Malaysia-China Folklore Culture Tourism Association.
Guided by the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur and organized by the Malaysia-China Folklore Culture Tourism Association, this year’s fair welcomes Liaoning Province as the Host Province, with support from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia.

Travel Fair aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in tourism and culture. The exhibition will span over 3,000 square metres with 209 booths, featuring a wide range of content including destination showcases, cultural performances, culinary experiences, and digital tourism services.
Mr. Azmi Abdullah, Senior Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia, noted that the fair has become an important platform for bilateral people-to-people exchanges and looks forward to increased Chinese tourist arrivals ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
Mr. Chen Chuang, Second Secretary of the Chinese Embassy, highlighted recent improvements to China’s inbound tourism policies, including visa and tax refund facilitation, positioning “Nihao! China” as a key promotional initiative aligned with national tourism branding.
Madam Han Ning, Director of the China Cultural Centre, emphasized the fair’s role in enhancing tourism connectivity and mutual understanding between the two countries
Ms. Ai Fanglin, Deputy Director-General of Liaoning’s Department of Culture and Tourism, delivered a video address introducing Liaoning’s unique tourism offerings—ranging from natural wonders like the Benxi Water Cave to heritage landmarks like the Shenyang Imperial Palace.
The event will also feature intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, ethnic performances, UnionPay’s cross-border payment services, airline and travel agency promotions, and giveaways including 5,000 cultural souvenirs, 1,000 cash vouchers, and airfare prizes.
With rich cross-sector participation spanning tourism, culture, finance, and technology, the 2nd “Nihao! China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) offers a vibrant platform for showcasing China’s tourism appeal and fostering deeper regional cooperation.
