“China-Beyond Your Imagination Colouring and Drawing Contest 2019”, organized by the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur (CCCKL), was enthusiastically opened on 14 December at the Starling Mall. More than 300 children and young people aged 4 to 18 years old actively participated in the show.

The Competition was divided into 4 groups, namely Group A (4-6 years old) and Group B (7-9 years old) Colouring groups, and Group C (10-12 years old) and Group D (13-18 years old) Drawing groups. In addition to the certificates and prizes won by the winners of each category, all participants also received a variety of souvenirs such as Beautiful China Memorial Panda plush dolls and Malaysia National Zoo entrance tickets.

The “China-Beyond Your Imagination Colouring and Drawing Contest 2019” was one of the “Beautiful China” series of competitions at China Cultural Centre. The remaining two competitions were “China-Beyond Your Imagination Video Contest 2019” and “China-Beyond Your Imagination Essay Contest” which were still open for registration.

Messrs. Zhang Jiexin, director of China Cultural Centre expressed his gladness at the award ceremony that the competition had witnessed overwhelming registration by the public in a short period of time and the high quality level of work of the participants. He said that the “Beautiful China series” was CCCKL’s annual key event and it would be listed as a perennial affair in the future.

China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur also prepared a slew of activities on site, as well as a variety of booths including China tourist attractions information desk, Chinese traditional culture experience areas such as Chinese chess, Chinese checkers game, inscription rubbings, Kong Ming lock, panda-painting area, panda mascots, clown balloons, photo studio and free marshmallows for participants, parents and the public to partake fun and promote better parent-child rapport. There was a lucky draw session in the form of Xiamen round-trip ticket for two people which was sponsored by Xiamen Airlines Kuala Lumpur. In addition, more than 30 exquisite gifts were given away too.
