.Celebrate the joy of Hari Raya in Malaysia and bridge cultures through the power of music! The China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur invites music lovers to take part in “Irama Raya Bersama” – an online celebration where Chinese melodies meet Raya festivities.
We welcome participants from all communities to perform Hari Raya songs or festive music using traditional Chinese instruments such as guzheng, erhu, pipa, dizi, yangqin, or zhongruan. Let your melodies weave together the beauty of Chinese music and the vibrant spirit of Raya, spreading joy, blessings, and togetherness across cultures.
Music is a universal language that unites us all. Through this event, we hope to inspire mutual appreciation, connection, and celebration among people from diverse backgrounds, sharing the warmth, happiness, and unity of Raya.
If you love music and play Chinese instruments, this is your chance to bring a unique cultural flair to the festive season and make your music part of Raya’s joyful soundtrack!

PrizesIndividual: RM300 per award
Group: RM1,000 per award

All winners and participants will receive an electronic certificate (*T&Cs apply).
Submission Requirements1. Music must feature traditional Chinese instruments.
2. Songs can be Hari Raya-related or festive-themed.
3. Performance: solo, duet, or ensemble.
4. Style: positive, lively, artistic, and expressive.
5. Accompaniment is allowed but Chinese instruments must lead.
6. Content must be socially appropriate; avoid religious rituals or sensitive topics.
Video Requirements• Max 5 minutes, horizontal 16:9 format
• Clear, stable visuals; synchronized audio
• Formats: avi / mov / wmv / mpg
• No watermarks, logos, subtitles, or commercial marks
• Adaptations must respect copyright

2. Original recordings only; no plagiarism
3. Organizer may edit or use videos for non-commercial promotion

5. Non-compliant submissions may be disqualified
