“50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations· Heart-to-Heart Connection” Drawing Contest | Registration OPEN!

The most awaited drawing contest of the year is back and in an offline event!

Organized by China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur and in collaboration with the Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association (Thean Hou Temple), supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia, Xiamen Airlines as the Official Airlines, the “Nihao China! – 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations· Heart-to-Heart Connection” Drawing Contest is now open for registration until 21st July or first-come first-served basis.

Finally, the drawing contest is back OFFLINE after three years since year 2019! We are glad to announce the theme of the year — “50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations· Heart-to-Heart Connection”. As we aware, year 2024 marks the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. Pursuant to that, the contest is a series of events by incorporating it as part of the 50th anniversary of Malaysia and China diplomatic ties in 2024, and it signifies the significance of fostering enduring relationships. As the Malaysia-China relationship enters a new chapter with the approaching 50th anniversary, we envision the next 50 years to be characterized by comprehensive maturity, mutual trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

In line with China’s tourism promotion brand “Nihao, China!” and Malaysia’s tourism slogan “Malaysia, Truly Asia”, the drawing contest aims to promote cultural exchanges and enhance mutual understanding between the young people of both countries. By utilizing art and culture, we hope to deepen the appreciation and knowledge of the cultural and tourism attractions of Malaysia and China among the young generation, thereby strengthening the foundation of friendship between the two nations.

The contest will be held OFFLINE on 26th August 2023 (Saturday) at  the Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur and it will be divided into four (4) groups: Primary school – Junior Group, Primary school – Senior Group, Secondary School Group, and Uni-College Group (University and College Students) with Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd  Runner-up, 3rd Runner-up, 4th Runner-up and Consolation prizes respectively. There are all kinds of additional prizes awaiting you! Furthermore, the winning artworks stand a chance to exhibit at the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur  !
