Being a 5,000-year civilisation with continuous history, the Chinese culture, which was centred in Henan, had continuously exchanged and integrated with the surrounding cultures and ethnic groups, and had developed into a diverse, rich and dynamic civilisation. In this long history, it had been developed through several phrases with different characteristics in different periods. And the Song dynasty was renowned for its aesthetics.
