On May 28, the highly anticipated Press Conference for the inaugural “Nihao! China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) took place at the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Cai Ju, Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, participated via video conference and delivered a keynote address as the Guest Province of Honor for this “Nihao!China” Travel Fair.
This prestigious “Nihao!China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) is under the guidance of the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur and organized by the Malaysia-China Folklore Culture Tourism Association, is set to feature China Southern Airlines and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as the Official Airline and Bank Partner. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as the Host Province, hosting a series of activities including the Ningxia Culture and Tourism Promotion Week. The “Nihao!China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) has garnered robust support from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia, ensuring a grand affair scheduled from June 14 to 16 at the Pavilion Exhibition Centre Bukit Jalil.
With the evocative theme “Nihao! China,” the travel fair will span an impressive 3,000 square meters and showcase 203 booths. This event is meticulously designed to captivate the Chinese market, emphasizing premium tourism packages and presenting a rich tapestry of content through multifaceted exhibition formats. Moreover, it will provide a dynamic platform for tourism destinations, enterprises, airlines, banks, and financial service providers to engage in exhibition, negotiation, and product promotion, marking a significant milestone in the tourism industry.
Datin Seri Penny Liao, President of the Malaysia-China Folklore Culture Tourism Association highlighted at the press conference that the “Nihao! China” Travel Fair (Malaysia) is organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. The event aims to enhance economic and cultural exchange and cooperation between the two nations. The expo will prominently feature elements of Malaysian and Chinese culture, including performances by professional dance troupes, Malaysian ethnic dances, lion dances, Shaolin kung fu, and the 24 Festive Drums.
She expressed confidence that this travel fair will further promote tourism cooperation between Malaysia and China, offering both nations’ people more opportunities to understand each other’s cultures and strengthen their friendship. The organizers have also prepared an array of exciting prizes for visitors to win, including round-trip airline tickets, hotel stay vouchers, hot pot dining vouchers, and exclusive cultural and creative products.
