A Call for “Chinese Music Linking the Future” Video Submissions –
2024 International Youth Chinese Traditional Music Performance Campaign
Cultural dialogue contributes greatly to human progress and world peace. As a universal language, music serves as a powerful bridge for cultural exchange and a platform to showcase young talent. In this spirit, the Network of International Culturalink Entities (NICE) and the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur proudly announce the launch of the “Chinese Music Linking the Future” event series and invite you to submit videos featuring the playing of traditional Chinese instruments.
Event Details:
Submission Period: From now until May 20th (Monday) at 12:00 PM
Participants:
Malaysian citizens or non-Chinese permanent residents aged 6-24 are eligible to participate.
Video Content:
1. Must showcase music played on Chinese traditional instruments; the choice of track is unlimited.
2. Solo or group performances are both acceptable.
3. Overall style should be positive, lively, natural, with strong expressiveness and appeal.
Video Format :
1. Duration of video should not exceed 5 minutes.
2. Filmed in landscape 16:9.
3. Clear video quality, stable images, and synchronized audio.
4. Video formats: uncompressed avi, mov, wmv, mpg, etc.
5. Unauthorized material is NOT allowed, and do not embed any logos and watermarks in the video.
Reward
The NICE will create a dedicated webpage for the event, presenting the highlights of the leading submissions to a worldwide audience. You will receive a certificate if your submission is among the selected entries.
As a winning participant, you will also have the opportunity to be invited to China for exchanges and performances on the theme of traditional Chinese music.
Selected participants will receive a certificate from the Network of International Culturalink Entities, and the winning artworks will be featured on a special exhibition webpage. There is also a chance to be invited to China for some exchange activities related to Chinese traditional music, as well as participation in other performance events.
Others:
1) Your submission should be original without infringing upon the copyright, patent right, trademark right, reputation, or other legal rights and interests of a third party. Otherwise, the organizers have the right to disqualify the submission at any time.
2) By submitting your entry, you automatically authorize organizers to edit and use your video for online and offline displays.
