Chinese Islamic Culture Exhibition is open to public now

In the middle of the 7th century, Islam began to be introduced into China through the Silk Road and the Spice Route. After a long period of spreading and developing, Islam was localized in China, bearing strong Chinese national characteristics. According to statistics, the 10 minority ethnic groups in China, the majority of whose population believe in Islam, total more than 20 million, with 35,000 mosques, 57,000 Imams, 720 Islamic associations at all levels and 10 Islamic institutes.Chinese Muslims have always had a fine tradition of patriotism. They advocate that “Patriotismis part of faith”. Adapting to the requirements of the times and fulfilling social responsibilities, they continuously contribute to the country’s construction and development. This patriotic spirit has been passed down from generation to generation and has become a conscious action that Chinese Muslims always abide by.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the “Year of China-Malaysia Friendship”. Jointly hosted by China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur and China Islamic Association, and themed with “Mutual Learning between Civilizations of Joint Prosperity”, the Chinese Islamic Culture Exhibition is scheduled to be held in CCCKL.

The exhibition will be composed of Chinese and Arabic calligraphy work exhibition, painting & paper-cut art exhibition as well as Islamic artwork exhibition, more than 80 pieces to display. The exhibition will showcase calligraphy works, paintings and paper-cuts and follow an overarching theme to eulogize China-Malaysia friendship, showcase fine traditional Chinese culture, and call for building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind. Also, The Islamic artwork exhibition will display handwritten Holy Qu’ran, Islamic scriptures, porcelains and others, symbolizing profound historical legacies of Islam in China.Period:2024·10·16 – 30(except Sundays and PH)
