Contest Rules

  1. Only for Malaysian citizens and permanent residents
  2. Divisions:
    1. Open: Above 18 years
    2. Secondary school: Form one to form six
    3. Primary school(Standard four, five, six)
    4. Primary school(Standard one to three)
  3. Only one submission per participant is permitted.
  4. The organizer reserves the rights to put the submissions in any use, without the need of informing or paying the participants.
  5. Any submission after the deadline will not be accepted.
  6. The organizer reserves the rights to adjust or change any rules of the contest.

Content Requirements

  1. The essay must be related to China’s culture and tourism, with an original title of the entrant’s choosing.
  2. The language of the essay is limited to Chinese only.
  3. The genre is not limited. The length of the essay for respective divisions is as follow:
    1. Open: Between 2,500 to 5,000 words
    2. Secondary school: Between 800 to 1,500 words
    3. Primary school(Standard four, five, six): Between 300 to 800 words
    4. Primary school(Standard one to three): Between 200 to 500 words
  4. The essay must be original. Plagiarism, in any form, is strictly unacceptable.
  5. The submission must be in MS Word format.The text of the essay must be in 宋体 Font 12, whereas the title must be in bold, Font 14.

Method 2: Download and fill up the registration form, and mail it together with your essay to the address:

About CCCKL

China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur(CCCKL) is an official culture and tourism organization under Chinese government that is based in Malaysia. CCCKL is tasked to promote the image of China’s tourism in Malaysia and Indonesia. CCCKL strives to be a platform that helps the Malaysian public to understand China and learn more about China’s culture, and serves as a bridge of communication and understanding between Malaysians and Chinese.

CCCKL is situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and just a stone’s throw away from Bukit Nanas monorail station. The center occupies approximately 1200 square meters of space and owns an exhibition hall, library, multifunction room, classroom, conference room etc.. In the coming future, CCCKL will organize a variety of activities such as cultural events, tourism promotion, Chinese language and arts training. The library will be open to the public for reading and information inquiries.
